1An Act to renumber and amend 446.028 of the statutes;
relating to:
2continuing education program sponsors for chiropractors, chiropractic
3technicians, and chiropractic radiological technicians.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, a program sponsor for continuing education for
chiropractors is required to submit its program to the Chiropractic Examining Board
for approval. This bill requires that a program sponsor for continuing education for
chiropractors, chiropractic technicians, or chiropractic radiological technicians must
submit its program to the Chiropractic Examining Board for approval. The bill also
adds the Chiropractic Society of Wisconsin to the list of chiropractic continuing
education program sponsors acceptable for license renewal.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

(2) Each program sponsor of a continuing education program required
2to be completed by a chiropractor
, chiropractic technician, or chiropractic
3radiological technician as a condition of license renewal shall submit the program to
4the examining board for approval.

5(1) In this section, “program sponsor" means the Wisconsin Chiropractic
6Association,
the Chiropractic Society of Wisconsin, the International Chiropractors
7Association, a college of chiropractic approved by the examining board, and a college
8of medicine or osteopathy accredited by an accrediting body listed as nationally
9recognized by the secretary of the federal department of education. “Program
10sponsor" does not include an individual, organization, or institution of higher
11education approved under s. 46.03 (38) to provide instruction in the use of an
12automated external defibrillator.
