(3) Reimbursement of behavioral health service providers. (a) In this
4subsection, “behavioral health service provider” means a licensed mental health
5professional, an outpatient mental health or substance use treatment clinic, or a
6facility providing health care services.

(b) An insurer or self-insured health plan shall reimburse a behavioral health
8service provider for a service provided for a mental health or substance use condition,
9illness, or disease that is provided through telehealth on the same basis and at the
10same rate as the insurer or self-insured health plan reimburses the behavioral
11health service provider if the service is provided in person.”.
