SJR60,1,2 1Relating to: commending emergency response personnel across the state for their
2work during the July 2019 severe weather incidents.
SJR60,1,43 Whereas, severe storms swept across the state in late July 2019, flooding roads,
4downing trees, and leaving over 273,000 residents without power; and
SJR60,1,65 Whereas, at least 19 tornadoes touched down in the state and straight-line
6winds occurred, causing significant damage; and
SJR60,1,97 Whereas, local fire and police departments, the Red Cross, the Salvation Army,
8the National Guard, utility crews, public works crews, state agency personnel, and
9volunteers came forward to assist in the recovery; and
SJR60,1,1110 Whereas, members of the Wisconsin Legislature thank state residents who
11pitched in to support their neighbors and communities; and
SJR60,1,1312 Whereas, members of the Wisconsin Legislature also express their deepest
13sympathies to those whose property was lost or damaged during the storms; and

2tireless efforts to keep all Wisconsinites safe; now, therefore, be it

4Wisconsin Legislature extend their thanks and gratitude to emergency response
5personnel and volunteers for their response to the July 2019 severe weather
6incidents and for their continued efforts to keep our communities safe.
