Pope and Spreitzer, cosponsored by Senators L. Taylor and Smith. Referred
to Committee on Rules.

1Relating to: the rights of pregnant women.

2 Whereas, pregnant women have the right to bodily integrity; and

3 Whereas, pregnant women have the right to religious freedom; and

4 Whereas, pregnant women have the right to be free from cruel and unusual
5punishment; and

6 Whereas, pregnant women have the right to be free from unjustified searches
7and seizures; and

8 Whereas, pregnant women have the right to procedural due process, including
9the right to effective assistance of counsel; and

10 Whereas, pregnant women have the right to equal protection under the law;
11and

12 Whereas, pregnant women have the right to not be arbitrarily detained; and

13 Whereas, pregnant women have the right to autonomous decision making; and

14 Whereas, pregnant women have the right to have their end-of-life directives
15and decisions honored by health care providers and institutions; and

1Whereas, pregnant women have the right to receive confidential health care
2that is provided with respect and dignity; now, therefore, be it

3Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That pregnant women
4should be afforded all of the rights of non-pregnant people.
