  The houses went into joint convention.
  Senate President Roth presiding.
  Senator Roth recognized the presence of Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes, Attorney General Josh Kaul, Superintendent of Public Instruction Carolyn Stanford Taylor and State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski; Chief Justice Patience Roggensack, Justice Shirley Abrahamson, Justice Ann Walsh Bradley, Justice Daniel Kelly and Justice Rebecca Dallet of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
  Assembly Sergeant-at-Arms Anne Tonnon Byers announced the arrival of Governor Tony Evers.
  Escorted by Senators Marklein and Schachtner, and Representatives Dittrich and Haywood, Governor Tony Evers took his place at the rostrum to deliver his state of the state address.
  Pursuant to Joint Rule 73, the governor’s message is printed in the Senate journal only.
  Senator Roth moved that the joint convention arise.
  The question was: Shall the joint convention arise?
  Motion carried.

Representative Hebl asked unanimous consent that the Assembly adjourn in memory of Frank Hebl, who passed away on January 8. He was the eldest of 17 children to Francis “Jack” and Janet Hebl. Granted.
Representative Hebl asked unanimous consent that the Assembly adjourn in memory of Michael Fauerbach, son of former Assembly Records Clerk, Kay Fauerbach, who passed away on January 12. Granted.
Representative Hebl asked unanimous consent that the Assembly adjourn in honor of Sun Prairie’s 71st annual Groundhog Day Prognostication and “Jimmy the Groundhog”. Granted.
Representative Hebl asked unanimous consent that the Assembly adjourn in honor of Firefighter Ryan Welch, who received the National Society of the Daughters of American Revolution Distinguished Citizen Medal for his courageous service to the community of Sun Prairie. Ryan was injured at the July 10th explosion in downtown Sun Prairie. Granted.
Representative Hebl asked unanimous consent that the Assembly adjourn in honor of Sun Prairie Middle School reading specialist, Sandra Kowalczyk, who received the 2018-2019 Wisconsin Global Educator of the Year award. Granted.
