SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 86

SB86-SSA1-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB86-SSA1-SA1,1,2 1. Page 5, line 7: delete lines 7 to 15.

SB86-SSA1-SA1,1,3 2. Page 14, line 23: after that line insert:

SB86-SSA1-SA1,1,4 “ Section 43m. Nonstatutory provisions.

SB86-SSA1-SA1,1,9 (1) (a) In this subsection, “autocycle” means a motor vehicle that has 3 wheels in contact with the ground, is designed with seating that does not require operators or any occupants to straddle or sit astride it, has a steering wheel, and is originally manufactured to meet federal motor vehicle safety standards for motorcycles under 40 CFR part 571.

SB86-SSA1-SA1,1,12 (b) Beginning on the effective date of this paragraph, an autocycle is a “Class D” vehicle, as described in s. 343.04 (1) (d), and a person may operate an autocycle with a regular license, as described in s. 343.03 (3) (a).”.

SB86-SSA1-SA1,2,2 3. Page 14, line 24: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 15, line 2, and substitute:

SB86-SSA1-SA1,2,4 “ Section 44m. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the first day of the 6th month beginning after publication, except as follows:

SB86-SSA1-SA1,2,5 (1) Section 43m of this act takes effect on the day after publication.”.
