SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 584

SB584-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB584-SA1,1,2 1. Page 5, line 10: delete lines 10 to 16 and substitute:

SB584-SA1,1,4 “ Section 5g. 19.84 (1) (b) is renumbered 19.84 (1) (b) (intro.) and amended to read:

SB584-SA1,1,11 19.84 (1) (b) (intro.) By communication from the chief presiding officer of a governmental body or such person's designee to the public, to those news media who have filed a written request for such notice, and to the official newspaper designated under ss. 985.04, 985.05 and 985.06 or, if none exists, to a news medium likely to give notice in the area. Communication from the chief presiding officer of a governmental body or such person's designee shall be made to the public using one of the following methods:

SB584-SA1,5r Section 5r. 19.84 (1) (b) 1., 2. and 3. are created to read:

SB584-SA1,2,2 1. Posting a notice in at least 3 public places likely to give notice to persons affected.

SB584-SA1,2,4 2. Posting a notice in at least one public place likely to give notice to persons affected and placing a notice electronically on the governmental body's Internet site.

SB584-SA1,2,6 3. By paid publication in a news medium likely to give notice to persons affected.”.
