TO SENATE BILL 470

1An Act to repeal 20.395 (1) (gt) of the statutes; relating to: funding for Soo
2Locks improvements and making an appropriation.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

3Section 1. 20.395 (1) (gt) of the statutes is repealed.

4Section 2 . Fiscal changes.

5 (1) In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department
6of transportation under s. 20.395 (1) (gt), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2020-21
7is increased by $5,000,000 for the purposes for which the appropriation is made.

8Section 3 . Effective date.

9 (1) The repeal of s. 20.395 (1) (gt) takes effect on July 1, 2023, or the day after
10the publication of the 2023 biennial budget act, whichever is later.
