SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 144

SB144-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB144-SA1,1,2 1. Page 1, line 4: delete “and making an appropriation".

SB144-SA1,1,3 2. Page 3, line 4: delete lines 4 to 19 and substitute:

SB144-SA1,1,4 “ Section 7m. Nonstatutory provisions.

SB144-SA1,1,11 (1) Grants or loans to defray housing costs. In the 2019-21 fiscal biennium, if the department of administration requests under s. 13.101 (3) that the joint committee on finance supplement the appropriation under s. 20.505 (7) (b) for the purpose of providing grants or loans under s. 16.303 (1r) (a) to persons or families of low or moderate income to defray housing costs, the committee may supplement that appropriation for that purpose without finding that an emergency exists under s. 13.101 (3) (a) 1.

SB144-SA1,2,4 (2) Grants or loans for diversion programming. In the 2019-21 fiscal biennium, if the department of administration requests under s. 13.101 (3) that the joint committee on finance supplement the appropriation under s. 20.505 (7) (b) for the purpose of providing grants or loans under s. 16.303 (1r) (am) for diversion programming, the committee may supplement that appropriation for that purpose without finding that an emergency exists under s. 13.101 (3) (a) 1.”.
