AB110-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB110-AA1,1,2 21. Page 4, line 6: after that line insert:
AB110-AA1,1,3 3(3m) Advisory committee members; recommendation restrictions.
AB110-AA1,1,5 4(a) In this subsection, “ financial interest in an entity” includes all of the
5following:
AB110-AA1,1,6 61. A direct or indirect ownership interest in the entity.
AB110-AA1,1,9 72. That the individual received income from the entity during the 12 months
8preceding the submission of the individual's name to the state superintendent under
9sub. (4).
AB110-AA1,1,13 10(b) Neither the International Dyslexia Association – Wisconsin Branch, Inc.,
11nor the Wisconsin State Reading Association, Inc., may include an individual on a
12list submitted to the state superintendent of public instruction under sub. (4) (a), (b),
13or (c) if any of the following apply to the individual:

11. The individual has a financial interest in an entity that develops, sells, or
2markets a product for screening risk factors for reading difficulties.
AB110-AA1,2,4 32. The individual has a financial interest in an entity that develops, sells, or
4markets a product to assess reading ability.
AB110-AA1,2,6 53. The individual has a financial interest in an entity that develops, sells, or
6markets a product specifically intended to be used to teach reading.
AB110-AA1,2,8 74. The individual has a financial interest in an entity that develops, sells, or
8markets a product to treat reading difficulties.
AB110-AA1,2,12 95. The individual received income from any entity to provide training on a
10product described in subds. 1. to 4. and the training occurred during the 12 months
11preceding the submission of the individual's name to the state superintendent under
12sub. (4).”.
AB110-AA1,2,17 132. Page 5, line 6: after “ public instruction." insert “The state superintendent
14may not appoint an individual to the advisory committee under this subdivision if
15sub. (3m) (b) 1., 2., 3., 4., or 5. applies to the individual, unless the disqualifying
16provision applies to the individual solely because of the individual's employment at
17the department of public instruction.".
