An act is a bill signed by the governor that creates, amends, or repeals Wisconsin law.
Before 1983, acts were known as “chapters”.

Acts from the current session back to 1995 are available in searchable form on this site.
If you know the act number, you can jump to it using our advanced search page. You can choose the legislative session from the front page and choose Acts. Or, you search for a pattern like “YYYY Wisconsin Act XX”.
If you know a keyword that would appear in the act, try searching for it.
If you don’t know a keyword, but you know the subject, try the Acts Subject Index.
