Notice of Preliminary Public Hearing and Comment Period on Statement of Scope

The Department of Corrections announces that it will hold a public hearing on Statement of Scope, SS 098-23, a statement of scope indicating the Department of Corrections’ intent to engage in rulemaking to revise Chapter DOC 302, Wis. Adm. Code, relating to inmate classification, sentence and release provisions. In accordance with s. 227.136, Stats., the Department of Corrections will hold a preliminary public hearing and receive public comments regarding the proposed rulemaking as described in SS 098-23, as follows, at the time and place shown below.

APPEARANCES AT THE HEARING AND SUBMITTAL OF WRITTEN COMMENTS: Interested persons are invited to appear at the hearing and present comments on the statement of scope. Persons making oral presentations are required to submit their comments in writing. Written comments will be accepted into the record and receive the same consideration as testimony presented at the hearing if they are received by December 15th, 2023.
