RE: Petition for Authorization to Repeal Rules Related to Grants for Construction Career Academies
Dear Senator Nass and Representative Ballweg:
I am petitioning for authorization to repeal chapter SPS 304 of the administrative code relating to grants for construction career academies. A copy of the proposed rule is attached.
The agency lacks the authority to administer the rules under SPS 304 due to the repeal of s. 101.31, 2013 Stats., as affected by 2015 Wisconsin Act 55 (Section 2711), effective July 14, 2015. Repealing chapter SPS 304 of the administrative code is required to comply with the requirements of 2015 Wisconsin Act 55. Therefore, the Department is requesting authorization to repeal these rules by utilizing the expedited process under s. 227.26 (4), Stats. Sincerely,
