1An Act to create
20.255 (3) (ct) and 115.28 (44) of the statutes; relating to:
2grants to the Center for Suicide Awareness, Inc., and making an appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill requires the Department of Public Instruction to annually provide a
grant to the Center for Suicide Awareness, Inc. The purpose of the grant is to provide
funding for staff, training, and expenses related to operating a text-based suicide
prevention service. In each of the 2019-20 and 2020-21 fiscal years, the amount of
the grant to the Center for Suicide Awareness, Inc., is $110,000.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert 4
the following amounts for the purposes indicated:

The amounts in the schedule for 3

appropriated under s. 20.255 (3) (ct) to the Center for Suicide Awareness, Inc., to 7

This act takes effect on the day after publication, or on the 2nd day after 11
publication of the 2019 biennial budget act, whichever is later.
