PI 34.032(2)(a)2.e. e. Techniques for starting a class.

PI 34.032(2)(a)2.f. f. The culture of schools and the teaching profession.

PI 34.032(2)(a)2.g. g. Working with lesson plans.

PI 34.032(2)(a)2.h. h. Working with children with disabilities, including confidentiality issues.

PI 34.032(2)(b) (b) Enrollment in an educator preparation program. The applicant meets all of the following requirements:

PI 34.032(2)(b)1. 1. Is at least 20 years of age.

PI 34.032(2)(b)2. 2. Is enrolled in a teacher preparatory program approved by the state superintendent under s. 115.28 (7) (a), Stats. For the purposes of this subdivision, enrollment means that the applicant has met all of the eligibility criteria for the approved educator preparation program as required by s. PI 34.018 (2) and is in the process of completing the requirements of the approved educator preparation program.

PI 34.032(2)(b)3. 3. Has successfully completed the minimum number of course credits required for the individual to have achieved junior level status if enrolled in a teacher preparatory program which awards a bachelor’s degree.

PI 34.032(2)(b)4. 4. The individual has completed at least 15 hours of classroom observation in the clinical program of the of the educator preparation program as approved under s. PI 34.023 (1) and (2).

PI 34.032(3) (3) Duration. A permit issued under this section is valid for 3 years.

PI 34.032(4) (4) Renewal. A permit issued under this section is renewable.

PI 34.033 PI 34.033 Tier I, long-term substitute teacher license.

PI 34.033(1) (1) Authorization. A license issued under this section authorizes the license holder to be either a short-term substitute teacher or a long-term substitute in the subject area or position and grade level of the license issued under subchs. VI, VII, and VIII, as determined by the license the applicant has held or is eligible to hold under this chapter or the equivalent license issued by another state.

PI 34.033(2) (2) Eligibility. The state superintendent may issue a tier I license under this section to an applicant who has held or is eligible to hold a license issued under subchs. VI, VII, and VIII or the equivalent license issued by another state.

PI 34.033(3) (3) Duration. A license issued under this section is valid for 5 years.

PI 34.033(4) (4) Renewal. A license issued under this section is renewable.

PI 34.034 PI 34.034 Tier I, professional teaching permit.

PI 34.034(1) (1) Definitions. In this section:

PI 34.034(1)(a) (a) “Entity” means an entity as defined under s. PI 34.006 (3) and that is headquartered in this state.

PI 34.034(1)(b) (b) “Foreign language” means a world language under s. PI 34.047 (3) (p).

PI 34.034(1)(c) (c) “Professional work experience” means verified experience that occurred through full-time employment in a field outside of education and in the subject area for which the bachelor’s degree was awarded.

PI 34.034(2) (2) Authorization.

PI 34.034(2)(a) (a) As provided in par. (b), a permit issued under this section authorizes the permit holder to teach in the school district which requested the permit under sub. (3) (e) and is not valid in another school district.
