ATCP 42.16(2)(2)Ingredient names. Every ingredient name used in an ingredient statement under sub. (1) shall be printed in the same size and type, and shall be one of the following:
ATCP 42.16(2)(a)(a) The common or usual name of that ingredient.
ATCP 42.16(2)(b)(b) The official name of that ingredient as stated in the 2018 Official Publication of the Association of American Feed Control Officials.
ATCP 42.16(2)(c)(c) An appropriate collective term under sub. (4) which accurately describes that ingredient. If an ingredient statement includes a collective term that describes one or more individual ingredients, none of those individual ingredients may be listed in the ingredient statement under any other name.
ATCP 42.16(3)(3)Prohibited terms. No ingredient statement under sub. (1) may include any of the following:
ATCP 42.16(3)(a)(a) A reference to the grade or quality of an ingredient.
ATCP 42.16(3)(b)(b) The term “dehydrated,” unless used to describe a feed ingredient that has been artificially dried.
ATCP 42.16(3)(c)(c) The word “iodized,” except to describe a feed ingredient containing not less than 0.007 percent iodine uniformly distributed in the feed ingredient.
ATCP 42.16(3)(d)(d) A feed ingredient used as a carrier for drugs, vitamins, or trace minerals, unless that ingredient comprises at least one percent of the commercial feed by weight.
ATCP 42.16(4)(4)Collective terms. The following collective terms may be used as ingredient names under sub. (2) (c):
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)(a) The collective term “animal protein products” may be used to describe one or more of the following ingredients:
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)1.1. Animal liver meal.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)2.2. Animal liver and glandular meal.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)3.3. Blood meal.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)4.4. Dried meat solubles.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)5.5. Extracted animal liver meal.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)6.6. Fleshings hydrolysate.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)7.7. Hydrolyzed hair.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)8.8. Hydrolyzed leather meal.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)9.9. Hydrolyzed poultry feathers.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)10.10. Meat. The term “meat” shall be qualified to identify the animal species from which the meat is derived unless the meat is derived from cattle, swine, sheep, or goats.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)11.11. Meat by-products. The term “meat by-products” shall be qualified to identify the animal species from which the meat by-products are derived unless the meat by-products are derived from cattle, swine, sheep, or goats.

ATCP 42.16(4)(a)13.13. Meat and bone meal.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)14.14. Meat meal tankage.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)15.15. Poultry by-products.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)16.16. Poultry by-product meal.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)17.17. Poultry hatchery by-product.
ATCP 42.16(4)(a)18.18. Poultry parts.
