The purpose of this chapter is to establish standards and procedures, as required under s. 175.60, Stats., for the issuance and administration of licenses authorizing persons to carry concealed weapons, the review of licensing decisions by the department, the recognition by Wisconsin of concealed carry licenses issued by other states, and the certification of firearms safety and training instructors. (2), this chapter applies to the issuance and administration of all licenses to carry concealed weapons issued by the department pursuant to s. 175.60, Stats. Jus 17.02(2)(2) This chapter does not apply to any of the following: Jus 17.02(2)(a)(a) Certification of former law enforcement officers to carry concealed weapons pursuant to s. 175.49 (2), Stats.
