15renewal of a permit under this subsection.

7the supervision of a dentist in an infirmary, clinic, hospital, or other institution

9school.

14a group of dentists or practices dentistry, dental therapy, or dental hygiene under the
15jurisdiction of the army, navy, air force, U.S. public health service , or veterans
16bureau.

AB68,1471,1918 447.04 (1m) Dental therapists. (a) The examining board shall grant a license
19to practice dental therapy to an individual who does all of the following:

21by the department.
AB68,1471,2222 2. Pays the fee specified in s. 440.05 (1).
AB68,1471,2423 3. Submits evidence satisfactory to the examining board that he or she has done
24one of the following:
AB68,1471,2525 a. Graduated from an accredited dental therapy education program.

1b. Graduated from a dental therapy education program that was not accredited
2at the time of graduation, but was accredited or approved by a state dental licensing
3board, was certified as a community health aide program dental therapy education
4program under U.S. Indian health service standards, or is otherwise approved by the
5examining board as being substantially comparable to an accredited program.
AB68,1472,136 4. Submits evidence satisfactory to the examining board that he or she has
7passed a national board dental therapy examination and a dental therapy clinical
8examination administered by a regional testing service that has been approved by
9the examining board to administer clinical examinations for dental professionals.
10If a national board examination or a regional testing service examination for dental
11therapy does not exist, the examining board shall accept evidence of passing an
12alternative examination administered by another entity or testing service that is
13approved by the examining board.
AB68,1472,1514 5. Passes an examination administered by the examining board on the statutes
15and rules relating to dental therapy.
AB68,1472,2016 5m. Submits evidence satisfactory to the examining board that he or she has
17current proficiency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, including the use of an
18automated external defibrillator achieved through instruction provided by an
19individual, organization, or institution of higher education approved under s. 46.03
20(38) to provide such instruction.
AB68,1472,2421 6. Completes any other requirements established by the examining board by
22rule that are comparable to and no more restrictive than the requirements
23established by the board for dentists under sub. (1) (a) 6. and dental hygienists under
24sub. (2) (a) 6.
