The contributions that are required under this subsection may be made in cash or equipment.

Moneys deposited in the fund may not be used for the securitization or retirement of bonds. If any amount remains in the fund after the lease specified in s. 16.09 (3) (a) 1. is no longer in effect, the district board shall return the amount to the department of administration.
