Trans 305.46(2)(2) Any motorcycle, commencing with the 1976 models, may be modified to cause the front suspension system to have a rake of no more than 50 degrees, provided the trail is at least 2 inches. Trans 305.46(3)(a)(a) “Rake” means the angle formed by the front suspension, or “forks,” and a vertical line drawn from the top of the front “forks” perpendicular to the ground. Trans 305.46(3)(b)(b) “Trail” means the distance from a point on the roadway directly underneath the center of the front wheel to the projected point where an extension of the front frame through the fork head would intersect the roadway. Trans 305.46(4)(4) Every motorcycle shall be equipped with a shock absorbing front suspension system.
