2025 SENATE RESOLUTION 4

SR4,1,2 Relating to: congratulating the Wisconsin Lutheran Boys Basketball team on their 2025 Division 1 State Basketball Championship.

SR4,1,5 Whereas, the Wisconsin Lutheran Boys Basketball team won the Division 1 WIAA State Basketball Championship on Saturday, March 22, 2025, by defeating Marshfield, 57–55, at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin; and

SR4,1,7 Whereas, the Wisconsin Lutheran Boys Basketball team defended their 2024 state title after moving from Division 2 to Division 1; and

SR4,1,9 Whereas, the Wisconsin Lutheran Boys Basketball team remained mentally and physically tough through the challenges of the season; and

SR4,1,12 Whereas, the Wisconsin Lutheran Boys Basketball team was able to draw on their deep bench and work ethic, with every player having a role and ready to step up and perform; and

SR4,1,14 Whereas, the Wisconsin Lutheran Boys Basketball program displayed teamwork and perseverance with great supporting staff; and

SR4,2,4 Whereas, the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings’ coach Ryan Walz and the boys basketball team have built enduring relationships and a sense of pride in achieving a well-earned winning season and legacy at Wisconsin Lutheran; now, therefore, be it

SR4,2,7 Resolved by the senate, That the members of the Wisconsin State Senate hereby commend and congratulate the Wisconsin Lutheran Boys Basketball team on their 2025 Division 1 State Basketball Championship.
