SB54,,22An Act to amend 563.63 (2) (b) of the statutes; relating to: the amount of allowable cash withdrawal from a bingo account for the purpose of paying cash prizes. SB54,,33Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau Under current law, all withdrawals from a bingo account must be made by check, payable to a specific individual, including for a money prize in a bingo game. There is one exception to this rule. If a single bingo prize is divided among more than one winner and an equal division of the prize is $10 or less for each winner, the check for the total prize may be made out to cash and the winners may be paid with cash from the check. This bill increases the amount per winner from $10 to $25 for this exception to apply.
SB54,,44The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows: SB54,15Section 1. 563.63 (2) (b) of the statutes is amended to read: SB54,,66563.63 (2) (b) If more than one player is declared to be the winner on the call of the same number in the same bingo game and an equal division of the cash prize is $10 $25 or less for each winner, a check for the game total prize may be issued to “Cash—Game #—” and the winners paid with cash from that check.
