This bill directs the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance to direct the Wisconsin Compensation Rating Bureau to reclassify land surveyors from class code 8602 to class code 8601 for purposes of worker’s compensation insurance. The Wisconsin Compensation Rating Bureau is an unincorporated association of insurers created by statute and is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and administering rules, regulations, classifications, rates, and rating plans to govern the transaction of worker’s compensation insurance, among other things.

AB962,15Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.
AB962,,66(1) On the effective date of this subsection, the office of the commissioner of insurance shall direct the Wisconsin compensation rating bureau to reclassify professional land surveyors licensed under ch. 443 from class code 8602 to class code 8601 for purposes of worker’s compensation insurance.
