AB785,,44The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
AB785,15Section 1. 146.904 of the statutes is created to read:
AB785,,66146.904 Itemized billing required by hospitals. (1) In this section:
AB785,,77(a) “Hospital” has the meaning given in s. 50.33 (2).
AB785,,88(b) “Patient” has the meaning given in s. 146.81 (3).
AB785,,99(2) A hospital shall provide to each hospital patient a plain-language, itemized bill, including an explanation of all charges, regardless of the source of payment.
