This bill provides that employees of the Department of Corrections who provide security services at the Wisconsin Resource Center and who are transferred to the Department of Health Services by 2023 Wisconsin Act 19, the biennial budget act, are entitled to any raises, wage supplements, or enhancements while employed by DHS to perform security operations at the Wisconsin Resource Center that they would have received or been entitled to receive if the employee’s position had remained with DOC, and any raises, wage supplements, or enhancements that are provided to similarly situated employees of DOC who are employed at maximum security facilities.

AB739,15Section 1. 230.338 of the statutes is created to read:
AB739,,66230.338 Rights of certain employees in the department of health services. Any employee of the department of corrections who performs security operations at the Wisconsin Resource Center under s. 46.056 (2), 2021 stats., and who is transferred to the department of health services by 2023 Wisconsin Act 19, section 9108 (1) (b), shall, while employed to perform security operations at the Wisconsin Resource Center, be entitled to any raises, wage supplements, or other wage enhancements that the employee would have received or been entitled to receive after June 30, 2023, if the employee’s position had remained in the department of corrections and any raises, wage supplements, or other wage enhancements that are provided after June 30, 2023, to similarly situated employees of the department of corrections who are employed at maximum security facilities.
