SJR67,1,42 Whereas, Careers in Construction Month is a month annually designated to
3increase public awareness and appreciation of construction craft professionals and
4the entire construction workforce; and
SJR67,1,65 Whereas, the construction industry is one of our nation's largest industries,
6employing more than five million individuals in the United States; and
SJR67,1,87 Whereas, the construction industry needs one million new craft professionals
8by 2023; and
SJR67,1,129 Whereas, Associated Builders & Contractors of Wisconsin Apprenticeship &
10Training Trust maintains the single largest construction apprenticeship in
11Wisconsin, currently training more than 1,800 registered apprentices in the
12construction trades; and
SJR67,1,1513 Whereas, during this October, employers, associations, and schools are
14encouraged to conduct job fairs, panel discussions, and local community events to
15inform students of the vast employment opportunities in construction; and

2professionals for their hard work and dedication and the critical role they play in the
3development and maintenance of our state; now, therefore, be it

5Legislature recognizes October 2021 as Careers in Construction Month.
