SB502,1,2
1An Act to amend 175.60 (1) (g) and 175.60 (3) (a) of the statutes;
relating to:
2minimum age to be eligible for a license to carry a concealed weapon.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law generally prohibits an individual from carrying a concealed
weapon unless the individual has a license to carry a concealed weapon that is issued
by the Department of Justice. Under current law, DOJ may not issue a license to an
individual who is under the age of 21. This bill lowers the minimum age requirement
from 21 to 18.
