AR23,1,2 1Relating to: relocating the We the People mural to a place where it can be more
2commonly observed by the people.
AR23,1,33 Whereas, the Wisconsin State Capitol is “the people's building”; and
AR23,1,54 Whereas, a mural depicting the founding fathers as “we the people” is currently
5located in the basement of the Capitol; and
AR23,1,86 Whereas, displaying the mural in a secluded area, such as the basement, can
7be interpreted as a profound message, as the mural should be a constant reminder
8of what the legislature's focus should be on; and
AR23,1,119 Whereas, the mural is not being honored for what it represents, and should be
10relocated into a more commonly visited area where it can be properly honored by the
11people; now, therefore, be it
AR23,2,2 12Resolved by the assembly, That the Wisconsin State Assembly calls for the
13We the People mural to be relocated to the West ground floor hallway, beneath the

1assembly chambers, where it can represent the people in a location closest to the
2legislature.
