2and cultural barriers, and economic hardship as they play integral roles in
3education, industry, agriculture, public service, culture, and many other areas; and

5creating jobs, stimulating the economy, and providing products and services to

8community as they preserve and teach others about their cultural traditions; and

10culturally sensitive aid and resources to those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic;

Whereas, the Hmong community and culture are an invaluable part of the

Whereas, in a time of heightened violence and prejudice against the Asian
17American and Pacific Islander community, it is especially important to recognize and
18celebrate the value and contributions of members of that community; now, therefore,

assembly, the senate concurring, That the Wisconsin
21Legislature hereby proclaims April as Hmong Heritage Month in the state of
22Wisconsin and officially commends the Hmong community for its contributions to the
23United States and to the state of Wisconsin.
