AB767,1,2 1An Act to create 14.16 (9r) of the statutes; relating to: Veterans Education

Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill designates the second week of November as “Veterans Education
Week,” the purpose of which is to inform veterans about the benefits to which they
are entitled and assist veterans in maximizing their use of such benefits. The bill
requires the governor to issue an annual proclamation for the observance of
“Veterans Education Week" that highlights the benefits to which veterans are
entitled.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB767,1 3Section 1. 14.16 (9r) of the statutes is created to read:
AB767,2,24 14.16 (9r) Veterans Education Week. To inform veterans about the benefits
5to which they are entitled and assist veterans in maximizing their use of such
6benefits, the week of November that starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday and in
7which November 11 falls is designated “Veterans Education Week." The governor

1shall issue annually a suitable proclamation for the observance of “Veterans
2Education Week" that highlights the benefits to which veterans are entitled.
