AB390,1,2 1An Act relating to: grants for the Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County,
2emergency medical services, and the city of Reedsburg community center.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill directs the governor to award several grants from moneys the governor
accepts from the federal government pursuant to the federal American Rescue Plan
Act of 2021. First, the bill directs the governor to award a $4,000,000 grant to the
Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County for facility planning, expansion, and
construction. Second, the bill directs the governor to award $5,500,000 in grants in
fiscal year 2021-22 and another $5,500,000 in grants in fiscal year 2022-23 to
support emergency medical services. Finally, the bill directs the governor to award
$400,000 in grants for improvements to the city of Reedsburg community center.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB390,1 3Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.
AB390,2,34 (1) Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County. Of the moneys the governor
5accepts from the federal government under s. 16.54 pursuant to the federal American

1Rescue Plan Act of 2021, P.L. 117-2, the governor shall award a $4,000,000 grant to
2the Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington for facility planning,
3expansion, and construction.
AB390,2,114 (2) Emergency medical services. Of the moneys the governor accepts from the
5federal government under s. 16.54 pursuant to the federal American Rescue Plan Act
6of 2021, P.L. 117-2, the governor shall award $5,500,000 in grants in fiscal year
72021-22 to support emergency medical services under s. 256.12 (4) and (5). Of the
8moneys the governor accepts from the federal government under s. 16.54 pursuant
9to the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, P.L. 117-2, the governor shall
10award $5,500,000 in grants in fiscal year 2022-23 to support emergency medical
11services under s. 256.12 (4) and (5).
AB390,2,1512 (3) Grants for the Reedsburg community center. Of the moneys the governor
13accepts from the federal government under s. 16.54 pursuant to the federal American
14Rescue Plan Act of 2021, P.L. 117-2, the governor shall award $400,000 in grants for
15improvements to the city of Reedsburg community center.
