AB361,1,3 1An Act to amend 109.03 (1) (b) of the statutes; relating to: exempting
2cooperative educational service agency employees from wage payment
3frequency requirements.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, school district and private school employees may request to
receive wage payments over 12 months for the work performed over the course of a
school year. This bill adds cooperative educational service agency employees to those
employees who may request to receive wage payments over 12 months for services
performed during the school year. Cooperative educational service agencies serve as
a link both between school districts and between school districts and the state.
Cooperative educational service agencies may provide leadership, coordination, and
education services to school districts, University of Wisconsin System institutions,
and technical colleges, and may facilitate communication and cooperation among all
public, private, and tribal schools, and all public and private agencies and
organizations that provide services to pupils.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB361,1 4Section 1. 109.03 (1) (b) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB361,2,5
1109.03 (1) (b) School district employees, cooperative educational service agency
2employees,
and private school employees who voluntarily request payment over a
312-month period for personal services performed during the school year, unless, with
4respect to private school employees, the employees are covered under a valid
5collective bargaining agreement which precludes this method of payment.
