AB197,1,2 1An Act to amend 48.84 (2g) (a) of the statutes; relating to: pre-adoption
2training formats.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, a proposed adoptive parent must complete 25 hours of
pre-adoption training. Of these 25 hours, 6 hours must be completed in person and
6 hours must be targeted toward the specific needs of the child to be adopted. This
bill allows adoptive parents to complete the in-person training requirements
through a live videoconference.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
