Whereas, the family is a major social institution that provides tremendous

5or adoption, and may be both nuclear, encompassing parents and children, and

Whereas, around the world and all across Wisconsin, fathers have played and
8continue to play a crucial role in families; and

Whereas, the role of father can be fulfilled by fathers, stepfathers,
10grandfathers, uncles, brothers, foster care and respite caretakers, and other
11guardians or role models; and

Whereas, states can support dads and facilitate their involvement in their
13children's lives, which increase a father's ability to meet the financial and emotional
14needs of their children; and

senate, the assembly concurring, That that the members
8of the legislature call upon the people of Wisconsin to observe June as Wisconsin
9Fatherhood Month with respect and admiration to fathers in our state; and, be it

11Resolved, That that the legislature calls upon the people of Wisconsin to
12express their respect, admiration, and gratitude to fathers everywhere; and, be it
