1An Act to amend 448.52 (1m) (c) of the statutes;
relating to: the practice of
2physical therapy students and physical therapist assistant students and
3granting rule-making authority.

This bill 1) modifies the practice permissions for physical therapy students and
physical therapist assistant students to eliminate requirements that they be
assisting physical therapists when practicing and 2) allows the Physical Therapy
Examining Board to promulgate rules related to the supervision of students who
perform physical therapy procedures and related tasks.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

assisting a physical therapist in the

assisting a
7physical therapist in performing physical therapy procedures and related tasks, if
8the assistance doing so is within the scope of the student's education or training.
The
1examining board may promulgate rules related to the supervision of students who
2perform physical therapy procedures and related tasks.
