SB256,1,3 1An Act to repeal 440.465 (1); and to amend 440.465 (title) and 440.465 (1m)
2(intro.) of the statutes; relating to: local regulation of transportation network
3companies, their drivers, and the drivers' vehicles.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This allows a city, village, town, or county to regulate transportation network
companies (TNCs), their drivers, and the drivers' vehicles. Current law prohibits
cities, villages, towns, or counties from enacting or enforcing such regulations, and
under current law the Department of Safety and Professional Services has exclusive
authority to regulate TNCs, their drivers, and the drivers' vehicles.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB256,1 4Section 1 . 440.465 (title) of the statutes is amended to read:

6personal vehicles used by participating drivers.
SB256,2 7Section 2 . 440.465 (1) of the statutes is repealed.
