The joint resolution requires the committees on assembly and senate
organization to immediately appoint a joint task force on clean and renewable
energy, consisting of an equal number of majority and minority party members in
each house of the legislature, to devise ways to facilitate the development of clean
energy solutions, create jobs while reducing pollution, move Wisconsin away from
fossil fuel-based energy production, and prevent foreign nations from dominating
the clean energy field.
Under the joint resolution, the task force must deliver its findings to the
assembly and the senate before December 31, 2020.
