AJR56,1,1 Relating to: recognizing June 13 to 20, 2019, as National Nursing Assistants Week.

AJR56,1,3 Whereas, National Nursing Assistants Week has been observed every June since 1977; and

AJR56,1,5 Whereas, during this week, we show appreciation for the incredible work and sacrifice that nursing assistants put in day-in and day-out; and

AJR56,1,7 Whereas, these fantastic individuals work hard to care for our family, friends, neighbors, and even ourselves; and

AJR56,1,10 Whereas, nursing assistants are also a major contributor to the nationally recognized care Wisconsinites receive when they go to their community hospital or clinic; and

AJR56,1,13 Whereas, with Wisconsin's average age steadily increasing, nursing assistants are also invaluable in ensuring our parents, grandparents, and other elderly individuals receive the care they need; and

AJR56,2,3 Whereas, supporting nursing assistants and others in the health care field is a top priority, as we continue to make sure those who take care of us are also taken care of; and

AJR56,2,6 Whereas, Wisconsin must recognize the contributions the thousands of nursing assistants make to our state, as they work to ensure we all lead healthy lives; now, therefore, be it

AJR56,2,9 Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the Wisconsin Legislature hereby recognizes June 13 to 20, 2019, as National Nursing Assistants Week.
