1An Act to amend 446.028 of the statutes;
relating to: continuing education
2program sponsors for chiropractors, chiropractic technicians, and chiropractic
3radiological technicians.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, a program sponsor for continuing education for
chiropractors is required to submit its program to the Chiropractic Examining Board
for approval. This bill requires that a program sponsor for continuing education for
chiropractors, chiropractic technicians, or chiropractic radiological technicians must
submit its program to the Chiropractic Examining Board for approval. The bill also
adds the Chiropractic Society of Wisconsin, the American Chiropractic Association,
and the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards to the list of chiropractic
continuing education program sponsors acceptable for license renewal.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

(2) Each program sponsor of a continuing education program required
2to be completed by a chiropractor
, chiropractic technician, or chiropractic
3radiological technician as a condition of license renewal shall submit the program to
4the examining board for approval.

5(1) In this section, “program sponsor" means the Wisconsin Chiropractic
6Association,
the Chiropractic Society of Wisconsin, the American Chiropractic
7Association, the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards, the International
8Chiropractors Association, a college of chiropractic approved by the examining
9board, and a college of medicine or osteopathy accredited by an accrediting body
10listed as nationally recognized by the secretary of the federal department of
11education. “Program sponsor" does not include an individual, organization, or
12institution of higher education approved under s. 46.03 (38) to provide instruction
13in the use of an automated external defibrillator.
