Agricultural roads improvement program general fund appropriation
Under current law, DOT administers an agricultural roads improvement program under which DOT provides grants to political subdivisions for projects to improve certain highway facilities that facilitate access to agricultural lands. Currently, a transportation fund appropriation funds the grants. This bill adds a general fund appropriation to fund grants under the program.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Section 1. 20.395 (2) (fc) of the statutes is created to read:
20.395 (2) (fc) Local roads improvement program; agricultural roads, general fund. From the general fund, as a continuing appropriation, the amounts in the schedule for improvements to local agricultural roads under s. 86.31 (3o).
****Note: This Section involves a change in an appropriation that must be reflected in the revised schedule in s. 20.005, stats.
