Posting sample ballots in non-English languages
Under this bill, if any jurisdiction in the state provides voting materials in one or more languages other than English, the Elections Commission must post on its website the sample ballots for that jurisdiction in each such language.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Section 1. 5.05 (19) of the statutes is created to read:
5.05 (19) Non-English language sample ballots. If any jurisdiction provides voting materials in one or more languages other than English, the commission shall post on its website the sample ballots for that jurisdiction in each such language.
