SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 252

SB252-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB252-SA1,1,3 1. Page 2, line 2: delete “Independence accounts.” and substitute “Income and inheritance.”.

SB252-SA1,1,5 2. Page 2, line 3: delete lines 3 and 4 and substitute “individual to deposit all of the individual’s earned income in an independence account.”.

SB252-SA1,1,6 3. Page 2, line 5: delete lines 5 and 6 and substitute:

SB252-SA1,1,8 “(bm) In determining assets under sub. (3) (b), the department shall exclude up to $40,000 from the value of assets that are acquired by inheritance.”.
