SB822-SA2,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB822-SA2,1,3 21. Page 1, line 8: delete “reports" and substitute “reports, state agency
3database security breach reports,".
SB822-SA2,1,4 42. Page 9, line 19: after that line insert:
SB822-SA2,1,5 5 Section 30m. 20.932 of the statutes is created to read:
SB822-SA2,1,9 620.932 Database security breach reports. (1) Definition. In this section,
7“state agency" means an association, authority, board, department, commission,
8independent agency, institution, system, office, society, or other body in state
9government created or authorized to be created by the constitution or any law.
SB822-SA2,2,4 10(2) Reports. No later than 10 days after a state agency detects a security
11breach of a website or electronic database maintained by the state agency, the state
12agency shall submit a report describing the security breach to the legislature under
13s. 13.172 (2), except that the chief clerk of each house shall promptly distribute the

1report to all members of the house. The report shall include the date and nature of
2the security breach and the extent to which personally identifiable information of
3individuals was or could have been disclosed to unauthorized persons as a result of
4the security breach.”.
