SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 560

SB560-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB560-SA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 12: delete “person" and substitute “ election official".

SB560-SA1,1,3 2. Page 2, line 18: delete “Any person" and substitute “Any election official".

SB560-SA1,1,4 3. Page 3, line 2: after that line insert:

SB560-SA1,1,5 “ Section 2m. 9.01 (1) (b) 11. of the statutes is amended to read:

SB560-SA1,2,2 9.01 (1) (b) 11. All steps of the recount shall be performed publicly and in accordance with s. 7.41. Except as provided in subd. 12., all materials and ballots may be viewed and identified by the candidates, the person demanding the recount and their authorized representatives and counsel, but only members of the board of canvassers and tabulators assisting them may touch any of the materials or ballots. The candidates, the person demanding the recount and their authorized representatives and counsel may object to the counting of any ballot. Any errors shall be corrected.”.
