SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 678

SB678-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB678-SA1,1,5 1. Page 4, line 4: after “eligible farms." insert “In this paragraph, “watershed” means a watershed delineated by the U.S. geological survey using a nationwide system based on surface hydrologic features at the 12-digit basin scale (the hydrologic unit code 12).".

SB678-SA1,1,6 2. Page 5, line 3: after that line insert:

SB678-SA1,1,7 “ Section 7g. 281.69 (1b) (br) of the statutes is created to read:

SB678-SA1,1,9 281.69 (1b) (br) “Producer-led group” means any group that meets the criteria under s. 93.59 (2).

SB678-SA1,7r Section 7r. 281.69 (3) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB678-SA1,2,3 281.69 (3) (a) A designation of eligible recipients, which shall include nonprofit conservation organizations, producer-led groups conducting producer-led group projects, counties, cities, towns, villages, qualified lake associations, town sanitary districts, public inland lake protection and rehabilitation districts, and other local governmental units, as defined in s. 66.0131 (1) (a), that are established for the purpose of lake management.”.

SB678-SA1,2,4 3. Page 7, line 12: delete that line and substitute:

SB678-SA1,2,5 “ Section 19m. 281.75 (11) (a) 8. of the statutes is amended to read:

SB678-SA1,2,10 281.75 (11) (a) 8. If the claim is based on a contaminated private water supply, the contaminated private water supply is a residential water supply , that is contaminated only by bacteria or nitrates or both, and is not contaminated by any not by any other substance, except as provided in par. (ae) and the contamination does not pose a risk to human health.”.
