SB581-SA1,1,2 21. Page 3, line 4: after that line insert:
SB581-SA1,1,3 3“(dm) “Obscene” means that all of the following apply to content:
SB581-SA1,1,54 1. An average individual, applying contemporary community standards, would
5find that the content, taken as a whole, appeals to the prurient interest.
SB581-SA1,1,66 2. The content depicts or describes sexual conduct in a patently offensive way.
SB581-SA1,1,87 3. The content, taken as a whole, lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or
8scientific value.”.
SB581-SA1,1,11 92. Page 4, line 5: after “paragraph." insert “Censoring, deplatforming, or
10shadow banning a journalistic enterprise on the basis of content that is obscene or
11pornographic in nature is not a violation of this paragraph.".
