SB296-SA3,1,3 “ Section 1b. 8.56 of the statutes is created to read:

SB296-SA3,1,8 8.56 Prohibited ballot access. Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, no person may seek to have placed on any ballot for a state or local elective office in this state the name of a person convicted of any offense related to the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol and no person so convicted may hold any state or local elective office in this state.”.
