AB632-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB632-AA1,1,3 21. Page 1, line 2: delete the material beginning with “duty" and ending with
3“in" on line 3 and substitute “notice of abandonment of”.
AB632-AA1,1,4 42. Page 1, line 4: delete lines 4 to 6.
AB632-AA1,1,5 53. Page 2, line 4: delete lines 4 to 9 and substitute:
AB632-AA1,1,6 6 Section 4m. 809.107 (5) (am) 2. and 3. of the statutes are created to read:
AB632-AA1,1,117 809.107 (5) (am) 2. If an appellant has not filed a notice of abandonment as of
8the deadline under subd. 1., the person representing the interests of the public or the
9opposing counsel may file a motion requesting a finding that the appellant has
10abandoned the appeal. A finding of abandonment under this subdivision has the
11same effect as a notice of abandonment under subd. 1.
AB632-AA1,2,212 3. If a motion requesting a finding that the appellant has abandoned the appeal
13is filed under subd. 2., the court shall provide notice of the motion to the appellant.

1The appellant may request a hearing within 10 days of receiving notice. If no request
2for a hearing is filed, the court may rule on the motion without a hearing.”.
