SB534-SA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB534-SA1,1,3 21. Page 3, line 17: delete “the adoptive parent" and substitute “mutual
3agreement of the parties or, if the parties cannot agree, the court".
SB534-SA1,1,4 42. Page 5, line 23: after “Enforcement." insert “(a)".
SB534-SA1,1,8 53. Page 6, line 8: delete that line and substitute “by mutual agreement of the
6parties. If the parties cannot agree on a mediator or arbitrator, the court shall
7appoint the mediator or arbitrator within 30 days of a request by any party. The
8mediator or arbitrator's fees shall be paid equally by”.
SB534-SA1,1,9 94. Page 6, line 10: after that line insert:
SB534-SA1,1,13 10“(b) An agreement under this section is not enforceable for any period during
11which the child has been placed outside of the adoptive parent's home under ch. 48
12or 938, or during which the parent is denied physical placement with the child in a
13court order under ch. 767.

1(7) Limitation. An agreement under this section does not affect a tribal right
2under s. 48.028 or under the federal Indian Child Welfare Act, 25 USC 1901 to 1963,
3and may not impair a cultural contact agreement or other agreement made between
4the adoptive parents of a child and an Indian tribe.”.

SB534-SA1,2,8 7(1) This act first applies to a termination of parental rights petition filed on the
8effective date of this subsection.”.
