TO SENATE BILL 49

SB49-SSA1,1,3 1An Act to amend 944.30 (1m) (intro.); and to create 944.30 (3m) of the statutes;
2relating to: prosecuting a person under the age of 18 for committing an act of
3prostitution.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

SB49-SSA1,1 4Section 1. 944.30 (1m) (intro.) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB49-SSA1,1,65 944.30 (1m) (intro.) Any Except as provided in sub. (3m), any person who
6intentionally does any of the following is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor:

SB49-SSA1,2 7Section 2. 944.30 (3m) of the statutes is created to read:

SB49-SSA1,2,28 944.30 (3m) A person may not be prosecuted under this section if he or she has
9not attained the age of 18 years at the time he or she commits an offense under sub.
10(1m) and if the offense was committed as a direct result of a violation of s. 940.302

1(2) or 948.051 without regard to whether anyone was prosecuted or convicted for the
2violation of s. 940.302 (2) or 948.051.
